Finding Christ in Christmas

I love Christmas; it's the most beautiful time of the year. In the song, O Holy Night, there's a phrase that says, 'A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices. For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.' If there's any word that accurately describes the condition of our world, it's 'weary.' But this song talks about a thrill of hope. Long ago, in the chaos of a holy night, there was a thrill of hope that maybe, just maybe, those who had put their faith in God for centuries would see the Messiah born. And from that day on, everything would be different, forever. Apostle Paul says if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, and the new is here!

What the world is unknowingly hoping and longing for is reconciliation. And believe me, that longing is deep. Let me ask you this today: what do you long for? Advent promises that God hears our longings and sends Jesus to reconcile us. I want everyone to know the story of Christmas and experience the Savior of the world. You can call on Him today if you don't have a living relationship with God through Christ. You will be forgiven, and you will be changed.
